古い町並みだが、見所が少ない。中心となる建物すら微妙な感じ。でも街並みの雰囲気を味わうには最適？ |

南米大陸の内陸から行くとアクセスしにくい場所ですが、アルゼンチンの首都ブエノスアイレスから高速船で１時間でいけるので意外にアクセスしやすい。 |
| 旅行環境整備 | |
宿泊施設は数軒あり。レストランはそれなりにあります。ウルグアイとすれば貴重な観光資源なので、たくさんの観光客に来てほしいらしいのですが、この街自体が1時間もかからずに回れてしまうほど小さいのでそれほどの集客は望めない気がします。 |
| 総合評価 | 見所はないけれど、ゆったり過ごしたい場合にはオススメ。ラ・プラタ川の悠久な流れを見ているだけでも良いかもしれません。 |

| アクセス | 日本からは、まず北米や中東、またはヨーロッパを経由して南米の大都市を目指します。具体的にはアルゼンチンの首都ブエノスアイレスが一番いいと思います。ブエノスからは高速フェリーで一時間。国際航路ですが、大型船が一時間に一本程度は出ていますので予約なしでもそこそこいけます。もちろん繁忙期にはいっぱいになってしまうので、事前予約ができればそれに越したことがありません。どうしてもいっぱいと言う場合は一等船室に乗ればばっちりです。他にはウルグアイの首都モンテビデオに入ってからバス、または南米各地からバス、という手もありますが、時間と手間がかかるので長期旅行の方以外は難しいかもしれません。 |

| 実際に行った感想 | ブエノスアイレスの滞在時、１日をこのコロニアル見学のために使いました。要するに「ウルグアイを日帰りで見てこよう」という計画です。朝フェリーに乗り、入国して徒歩で歴史地区に行き、ゆっくりと歩いて見学し、ゆっくりと食事を取って帰ってきました。子連れ(保育園児)でもこんなスケジュールで動けたので、元気のある方なら数時間で全て回ってこられる程度の町です。灯台と、小さな3つの博物館、それと(どこのガイドブックにも載っていなかった水族館)が主な見どころで、それ以外は石畳の町並みをゆっくり歩き、ラプラタ川の茶色の水を見てボーーっとしてから、レストランで食事をする程度です。とてもいい雰囲気ですが・・・・正直忙しい日本の旅行者には物足りなく思うような気がします。普通の旅行者ならブエノスアイレスでタンゴを見たり、牧場で大きな肉を食べまくったりする方がいい、というかもしれないな、と感じました。 |
